About Family & Marriage Counselling

At The Pathways to Change, our Family & Marriage Counselling services are led by a licensed marriage and family therapist. We work with parents, partners, and caregivers who are doing their best for their children but feel the stress building up at home. Maybe communication has turned into arguing, maybe you feel more like “roommates” than a team, or maybe parenting differences are creating tension around routines, school, or behavior.

In our sessions, your therapist creates a calm, structured space where each person is heard. Together we slow things down, identify the patterns that keep you stuck, and practice new ways of talking, listening, and problem-solving. For many families we support, there may also be autism, anxiety, or other developmental and emotional needs in the picture. We keep your child’s needs in mind while still focusing on the health of your relationship and family system.

Counselling can take place in our clinic or via secure telehealth, depending on what works best for your schedule. The approach is warm, evidence-informed, and culturally responsive, with a strong emphasis on respect, safety, and collaboration.
